The Library at James Simons is not your typical media center. The maker mindset began here for our students and is cultivated every week in the Library. Students are invited to change their negative understanding of failure, determine their own direction, research and innovate solutions to problems, and participate in literacy based or student initiated build challenges. It is a flexible space with art/construction materials, circuitry, robotics and tools. The area has fixed and flexible stations which allow students the opportunity to investigate and problem solve as a team and explore individually.
